How To Deploy a Location

After building or having the hardware part, one can set up a new PlayVR or PolygonVR location in just a few simple steps: download the Agent App on location computers, that the Platform automatically generates for each location, with the help of preset settings and the installation wizard. We use Chef configuration management system to remotely set up, configure and manage all servers and clients.

The installation process is following:

1. Download an executables file of the Agent App on you machine with fresh installed Windows Pro

2. Run the file which will:

   1. Configure scripts’ execution politics
   2. Create required system user
   3. Set auto login for that user
   4. Rename the machine
   5. Install .Net components
   6. Set Firewall exceptions

3. Reboot your machine

4. Final configuration will be done automatically:

   1. Chef-client installation
   2. Chef-client configuration executing
   3. Machine bootstrapping

5. You are done
